AAIBS Networks

Networks are groups of IB Principals, Coordinators or teachers from Australasian IB Schools. They are independent of the IB organization and AAIBS.

Networks usually organise local professional development or opportunities for staff to discuss IB related matters. Where the network provides the information on this professional development it will be posted on the AAIBS calendar. If you are interested in attending but are not a member of the network, use the contact details for the network to ask if you can attend their event.

AAIBS hosts these network pages but the information found within them is provided by the networks themselves.  AAIBS does not edit their content or control their activities.  If you have a question about a network activity please contact the network directly.  If you do not get a response in a reasonable time please let AAIBS know of your concern.

If your network is not represented on these pages please contact AAIBS at info@aaibs.org so that we can get your Network page running!

Who is AAIBS?

The AAIBS was established specifically to assist schools in Australasia, providing a network of professional support, information and service. Schools new to the IB programme will find such assistance particularly useful.

The Association also organises an annual conference in conjunction with workshops run by IBAP, and produces a variety of support materials.

The AAIBS Standing Committee is committed, amongst other goals, to represent and support the various IB groups and networks across Australasia. There are now many groups in Australasia and it is important that these networks have a united voice in lobbying with Educational Authorities, Tertiary Admissions Centres, Universities and the IB and AAIBS wants to work with an support these IB school networks.
