Glenunga International offers the following programmes: MYP and Diploma.

Glenunga International High School is a coeducational 8-12 day State school with an enrolment of approximately 1100 students. Together with the state curriculum, the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programmes provide students with a variety of choices and challenge in the International School environment. We promote international peace and understanding, encourage students' involvement in community service, emphasize the environment and promote world citizenship. Glenunga International High School provides a unique global curriculum and ethos, which both values and supports students from diverse backgrounds.

MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAMME (MYP)

DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme was introduced into this school in 1990. We are the only State High School offereing the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Australiasia. The Middle Years programme was introduced in 1997 in conjunction with a cluster of four local State Primary Schools A wide range of IB subjects are offered at Diploma level in this school, they include 6 languages, 3 subjects in group 3 and 4, three levels of Mathematics, Art/Design, Theatre Arts and Design Technology. There are approximately 70 students participating in the Diploma Programme this year.

What is the IB?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to develop inquiring, and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The IB offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools.

The three IB programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. There are approximately one million IB students at over three thousand schools in more than 140 countries.
