The Friend's School offers the following programmes: PYP and Diploma.
The Friends' School is a pre-K to 12 co-educational day and boarding school, founded in 1887 and based on Quaker values. Friends' has a strong academic record supported by a recognition of the need to provide pastoral care at all levels of the school. Friends' has a total enrolment in excess of 1180, including a senior college catering for Years 11 and 12 on a separate campus.

DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

The Friends' School is proud to offer students in Years 11 and 12 the opportunity to study for the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The focus on global knowledge and understanding and the emphasis on the education of the whole person to be found in the International Baccalaureate Program fit well with the Purpose and Concerns of The Friends' School. Staff and students now have access to the world-wide family of teachers and students at IB schools around the globe.

What is the IB?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to develop inquiring, and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The IB offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools.

The three IB programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. There are approximately one million IB students at over three thousand schools in more than 140 countries.
