Wellington Diocesan School - Nga Tawa offers the following programmes: Diploma.
Success for our students depends on a three way partnership between Nga Tawa, the student and her parents. Parental enthusiasm plays a vital part in determining our students’ future goals and ambitions. When parents send their daughters to Nga Tawa School they have put thought into the decision and have often made considerable commitment and sacrifice. I believe that the responsibility then rests with the school to ensure that your commitment reaps rewards. Nga Tawa School graduates are tall poppies. During their school years they are nurtured and cared for in a caring, Christian, extended family atmosphere. However, students are also constantly challenged to set goals and strive towards them. The high academic performance of girls' schools has long been known but it is now recognised that the extra self confidence they engender also raises career expectations. I firmly believe that young women educated in a single sex environment are better prepared for adult life than their sisters in the co ed mainstream. The graduates of Nga Tawa School leave with the strength to stand on their own and the confidence to stand out in the crowd when it is appropriate.
