Who is AAIBS?

The AAIBS was established specifically to assist schools in Australasia, providing a network of professional support, information and service. Schools new to the IB programme will find such assistance particularly useful.

The Association also organises an annual conference in conjunction with workshops run by IBAP, and produces a variety of support materials.

The AAIBS Standing Committee is committed, amongst other goals, to represent and support the various IB groups and networks across Australasia. There are now many groups in Australasia and it is important that these networks have a united voice in lobbying with Educational Authorities, Tertiary Admissions Centres, Universities and the IB and AAIBS wants to work with an support these IB school networks.

Want to join AAIBS?

AAIBS runs an annual conference, provides certificates and web presence for member schools at www.aaibs.org and will extend this to local associations of member schools as part of the annual membership fee. Member schools can claim up to three $100 discounts for staff that are registered for the Annual Conference.

Annual membership fees are:

  • Full membership for Authorised schools is $550.00 (GST inclusive)
  • Associate Membership for recognised Implementing or candidate schools is $220.00 (GST inclusive)
  • Partner Membership (for schools in an IB recognised partnership) $150.00 (GST inclusive)
